What happens when I hit my job-site limit?

You can't create a new job site or unarchive one until you're back within your plan's limit — nothing already live is affected. Archiving a finished job frees a slot immediately, or upgrade to raise the ceiling. Free gives you 1 active job site, Pro gives you 10, and Business is unlimited (Unlimited).

What happens to my printed placards if I cancel or downgrade?

They keep working. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you already paid for, and your existing public pages and QR placards don't go dark because of a billing event — the code on the placard still opens the same page. If you end up over your new plan's limits, you just can't add new job sites or upload new documents until you're back within them.

Do subs and inspectors need an account?

No. Anyone who scans the QR code or opens the link sees the documents immediately — no app, no login, nothing to install. That's true on every plan, Free included.

Is my data mine?

Yes. You keep ownership of every document and every piece of information you upload; DryPlans only holds the license needed to store and display it for you. Delete your account at any time and we permanently delete your job sites, documents, and files — export anything you want to keep first.

Who else can see my documents?

Anyone with the link. A public job page's address contains a long random identifier and is excluded from search engine indexing, but it isn't password-protected — that's deliberate, since subs and inspectors can't be asked to make accounts. Every document has a visibility toggle, so anything you don't want public simply stays hidden.

What counts as an active job site?

A job site whose public page is live. Archive a finished project and it stops counting toward your limit immediately — the page keeps working, it just no longer takes up a slot.

What file types can I upload, and how big?

PDF, PNG, JPG, WEBP, HEIC, DOCX, and XLSX, up to 25 MB per file.

What if an inspector won't scan a QR code?

Hand them your phone, or print what they need. DryPlans doesn't require anyone to change how they work — the documents are just always with you and always current. Most inspectors end up preferring it: it's faster than digging through a wet box.

Does this replace the permit I'm required to post on site?

No — be careful of anyone who tells you it does. Most building departments require the permit card itself to be physically posted and visible, and DryPlans goes next to it, not instead of it. What it replaces is the box of plans, revisions, and inspection reports underneath. Check with your building department if you're unsure what's required.
